Thank you for taking the time to look at my portfolio.

The idea is that a portfolio should showcase the scope of your abilities in eight to twelve pieces. Its never been quite so cut–and–dry for me, though. My experience doesn't fit so neatly into one category, and during the course of an interview other work will come up. Work which I wouldn't have a sample for with me, of course.

For that reason this gallery is rather large, and it will probably grow a good bit still. Its just more practical to post these dozens of samples on the internet, categorized, than it is to carry all of them in one portfolio book or to not provide them at all. This isn't meant to be a polished and streamlined interview portfolio. Instead, this should fill in gaps or round out a picture begun by a résumé or interview. Even with as many samples are are in this gallery, there is still more that I can and have done that will not be in here.

The point here is about adaptability, to apply design means across varying ends, that a logo or business card design may not demonstrate an understanding of the process and needs in designing a billboard designed to be viewed at 80 mph or a suite of branding, brochure and illustration. The needs dictate the style, just as retail and fashion demand different aesthetics than direct mail or newsletter design. That kind of example of ability that may not come across in twelve samples and thirty minutes at a table.

Whatever the reason you're viewing this gallery, I hope you find something you like, and maybe more than you were expecting…
